FFS - Facial Feminization

AIDS

of fat that is lodged in the lungs and impairs breathing;
can occur after liposuction surgery
Fat grafting - a
surgical procedure to remove fat from one area of the
body, and reinsert it into another area to improve contour;
also called fat injections

Festoon - a pouch
of skin and muscle in the lower eyelid and cheek junction
Fibroma - a benign
neoplasm derived from fibrous connective tissue
Filler (filling agent)
- a substance such as collagen, silicone, or one's own
fat that is injected beneath the skin to contour, or
fill in wrinkles or scars
Finasteride - oral
prescription medication known as Propecia, used for
the treatment of hair loss
Fitzpatrick skin types
- a system to evaluate skin color and asses a person's
tendency to tan or burn
Folliculitits - inflammation
of the hair follicle
Flap operations -
involves lifting a segment of tissue with blood and
nerve supplies and rotating or reattaching to an alternate
position
Forehead lift - surgery
that diminishes wrinkles creases, and signs of aging
on the forehead
Free radicals - free-floating
electrons resulting from oxidation that hve been linked
